Most Comprehensive Travel Insurance plans provide coverage for:
¨ Trip Cancellation - Coverage generally provides for reimbursement of non-refundable fees that a traveler has already paid prior to learning that they will be unable to go on a previously scheduled trip due to a covered reason. ¨ Trip Interruption - Coverage generally provides for reimbursement of non-refundable fees that a traveler has already paid and the traveler’s trip is interrupted in some manner once they have already departed on their trip due to a covered reason. Reimbursement would be considered for that portion (only) of the traveler’s trip which was altered or interrupted by no means of their own. This would include those related expenses incurred by the traveler due to the interruption, including reimbursement for airfare to return home. Coverage varies by insurance provider. Travelers seeking to purchase Travel Insurance are encouraged to examine coverage terms & conditions thoroughly, carefully, and understand what the specific coverage offered includes and excludes. ¨ Lost or Stolen Luggage - Coverage generally provides for a means of recourse towards replacement, dependent upon the type of coverage elected by the traveler. ¨ Coverage for Financial Default - Coverage generally provides for a means of financial recourse, dependent upon the type of coverage elected by the traveler, for example if unforeseen issues arise with a Tour Operator that falls into default and no longer is available as a service provider. ¨ Medical & Dental Coverage - Coverage generally provides for losses due to covered medical and dental emergencies that occur during a trip. Coverage may also include medically necessary transportation to the nearest hospital or appropriate medical facility due to a covered illness or injury.
